This morning as I woke up I was remembering this Psalm. I had to turn to it to experience something that the Holy Spirit wanted me to experience. I turned to Psalm 93. The Psalmist is praising God when he states,
1 The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and is armed with strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. 2 Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity. 3 The seas have lifted up, O LORD, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. 4 Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea” the LORD on high is mighty. 5 Your statutes stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days, O LORD.
After reading this I started to tuck my head between my legs and weep. Why do I forget who God is at times. Why isn’t this at the forefront of what I do, who I am, what I think, what I say. This Psalm affirms God’s rule; God’s majesty; God’s strength; God’s sustaining power; God’s eternality; God’s sovereignty; God’s might; God’s faithfulness and God’s holiness. God is outside of our categories. He is above, beyond and greater than our best thoughts. The only reasonable response is worship. Read this Psalm and spend some time worshiping God.
Praise Him.
Give thanks to Him.
Ask Him to do miracles and commit yourself to obey Him.
Take 5 miniutes and list down everything God is! Engrain this into your memory today. Hold on to this and claim it.”Lord, give us a faith to believe everything your Word reveals about you. Transform us to be worshipers who praise you according to your name and who serve you with faithfulness. Amen”
