Recently was attending Mariners Church in Irvine and heard a message on Compromising. Shook me and literally changed me!
Whether you are leading a church, a family, a friendship, an organization (big or small) we have opportunities that arise that if we are not careful we COMPROMISE. I need to be the first one to say “I am sorry” for compromising and have had some tough conversations this past couple weeks. As a leader, a father, a husband and a friend, I have to be extra careful in how I lead and act in all categories. I am daily faced with obstacles, conversations, deadlines, and other things that I have to make a conscious choice to do the right thing (even though) its hard.
We all have a yearning inside us to do the right thing and as a leader, father, husband and friend I want to be able to position myself to be blessed. I am a firm believer in the fact that God’s grace is sufficient for all, and there is nothing we can do to earn our way to heaven, but I do know that if we want God’s blessings, (answered prayers, job promotion, church growth, people to follow vision, etc..) we must stop compromising.
What do you need to do today to position yourself to not compromise?
Remember in every decision we have to make we have the choice to compromise or do the right thing.
Think of the consequences and who your compromise is going to hurt or spill on before actually compromising. It just might save you clean up!
